Quiet library atmosphere for deep comic writing

Words that earn the next panel

Comic Writes exists for the half of comics you do not see on the canvas.

Work with us

Our philosophy

Comics compress time, emotion, and plot into tiny rectangles. When the script is fuzzy, artists burn hours guessing intent. We teach you to write so clearly that collaboration feels fast — even when you are the writer and the artist.

Clarity is kindness to your future self.
Draft. Listen. Tighten. Publish.

Planning and outlining a comic story

Our journey

Comic Writes started as late-night script swaps between friends who drew but hated staring at a blank page. We formalized the exercises that actually broke writer's block — beat boards, dialogue passes, and ruthless cuts — and opened them to anyone building a series online.

Today we host critiques, async lessons, and blog deep-dives so you can keep publishing without losing the spark that made you start.

What makes us different

Writer-native feedback

Critique targets pacing, clarity, and jokes — not whether a thigh is three pixels off.

Format fluency

Vertical scroll, grid pages, gag strips: we adjust exercises to how you publish.

Small cohorts

Enough voices to stress-test your script, small enough that people read the whole thing.

Publishing rhythm

Buffers, hiatus plans, and recap pages so life does not kill your arc.
